Observe and Report

Below is the online only, redband trailer for the new Seth Rogen, but not Judd Apatow, masterpiece. Written by Jody Hill, co-creator and writer for Eastbound & Down, Observe and Report is about a bi-polar mall security guard named Ronnie Barnhardt (Seth Rogen) who is called into action to stop a flasher from turning a thriving mall into his own disgusting peep show. Hoping his single-minded pursuit of glory will get him his dream girl, Brandi (Anna Farris), and a spot in the Police Academy, Ronnie is hellbent on catching the flasher before the real cops do. Overall, I enjoyed the trailer; it follows the same R-rated comedy structure as Pineapple Express, but it was nice to see Seth Rogen playing something other than an intensely verbal, pop-culture savvy slacker. Release date: April 10th, 2009.
